Power Authority spending criticized

The New York Power Authority spent about $ 340,000 on such things as holidays and AARP memberships for retired "in difficult times tax state of New York", a new state audit says,

In response, Authority Chairman Michael J.Townsend defended the spending practices, according to the controller, calling into question the expense minor and helpful to boost employee morale.
