Inter confirm Leonardo exit

Leonardo, who had one year left in his contract with Inter, is set to take over the sporting director's role at Paris St Germain.

A statement from Inter read: ''After six intense months and a Coppa Italia won together, Inter and Leonardo have terminated the Brazilian's contract on friendly terms.

''Everyone at Inter continues to have the utmost esteem for a person capable of repeatedly taking on new challenges. President Massimo Moratti and everyone at the club thank him for what has been achieved together and wish him the very best of luck for the next stage of his career.''

Leonardo joined Inter in December just six month after parting company with AC Milan. He led the Nerazzurri to finish runners-up in Serie A and win the Coppa Italia.

Inter appointed former Genoa tactician Gian Piero Gasperini as Leonardo's replacement last week.

Internews Africa Grant Program for Innovation | ICTWorks

Internews Africa Region will consider funding pilot projects proposed by local NGOs, software companies and / or mobile operators, local media and individuals from different regions. Creative, innovative ideas that involve the sharing and exchange of information will be considered for funding. Read the call for innovation for details of grant proposals.

The incorporation of new media in project activities focused on the use of text messaging, social media, mobile phones, webcasting, podcasting, IVR systems, mBanking, mapping, or crowdsourcing Other methods such is strongly encouraged.A special effort will be made to ensure that the grant is complementary to the region overall Internews Africa.

The pilot projects should be more than four months in duration, with the possibility of extending an extra month to conduct research on innovation-driven. Examples of topics for the pilot project may include technical solutions to problems around (but not limited to): health, diaspora remittances, agriculture, mining and extractive industries, refugees and displaced persons and sustainability of community media.

ELIGIBILITY

The fund is available to local NGOs, software companies and / or mobile operators, local media and individuals from different regions. The pilot should be carried out in sub-Saharan Africa. Organizations / individuals may submit more than one proposal for different projects, but each organization is eligible for a grant. These innovation grants will range from small $ 5,000 to $ 30,000. Internews reserves the right to finance all or part of the activities of a specific proposal to finance one or more than one proposal, or to fund any proposal under this call.

REQUEST

Potential recipients must submit a project proposal summary of 3 pages. Project proposals must be received by June 30, 2011 email pilotafrica@internews.org. Shortlisted candidates will be notified at July 10, 2011 for follow-up discussions to defend their proposal. After the interviews, the selected beneficiaries will be notified by July 20. The pilot project should begin on 1 August 2011 and the implementation must be completed by November 30, 2011.
